Your committee chairman, Neil Cawthorn, has friends he hasn’t seen for a while in the South West, so read on for news of places and events planned in Plymouth and Saltash.
FUND RAISING NEWS
You have so far raised over £1,600 towards the costs of the tour, but need to raise more. To get to the agreed £50 contribution, each player will be asked by Chris Meggs, for £1 per week from now on, to cover the balance.
Help is needed on match days to sell raffle tickets for prizes of fine Australian wine kindly donated by Percy Fox and Co, wine shippers. (Trade Enquiries & Order Office 01279 756266 or emailpercyfoxorders@diageo.com )
Tickets are £1 each, with the draw being held on the day. Draws are held when £20 has been raised.
Tour funds will be further boosted if we can persuade a local supermarket to allow us to pack their customers’ shopping. Neil Cawthorn & Chris Meggs are busy twisting arms to enable this to happen.
Look out for another Club Disco in November as well, with perhaps a star guest appearance…
If you haven’t signed up for the tour and paid your £25 deposit, then please contact any member of the committee, who will give you a form to fill in with your details.
There are only a limited number of places, and we already have 14 signed up players, so make your decision now, rather than miss out altogether.
